Flag Day is celebrated annually on June 14th in the United States to commemorate the adoption of the U.S. flag by the Continental Congress in 1777.

Here are three cool facts about Flag Day:

  1. There have been 27 versions of the American Flag.
  2. The current design wasn’t professionally made, it was designed by a 17-year-old high school student.
  3. Five American Flags have made it to the moon.
